Be sure to visit us our booths (927/929) at the International Council of Air Shows convention at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 1 November 2009
The long air show season is over, and we offer our thanks to the many people who hosted and helped us this year. Our thanks also to our product sponsors, Scheyden Precision Eyewear, and Aviation Laboratories. We are most grateful to our thousands of air shows fans who make the long, hot air show circuit worth the effort.

10/11 October 2009
Sheppard AFB, Texas was our third air show in four weeks, and it was the most demanding as weather was a factor during the weekend. Fortunately we had Greg Witmer of David Schultz Airshows LLC running the show and keeping things under control. Our thanks to Majors Paul Corman and Kevin Dydyk for their efforts towards a safe and successful open house.

3/4 October 2009
This was our second visit to the fly for the good folks in Jackson, Mississippi, and their hospitality this year was as warm as it was last year. Mississippi is home for our demo pilot John Sledge, but Jack Thomas and
Karen Hatten of the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority made all of us feel at home.

Our first ever air show in Utah found us in historic Wendover, Utah where we were guests of Jim and Tom Petersen and the Historic Wendover Airfield Foundation (www.wendoverairbase.com). We had a weekend of beautiful flying and wonderful air show fans. This show gave us an opportunity to work with Airboss Joe Johnson, who was up to the challenge of keeping the airspace and the show safe.

Is was an honor and a privilege to be asked to perform at the EAA's AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where we participated in the celebration activities of the 60th Anniversary of the North American T28 Trojan. The anniversary festivities including us flying as part of Wednesday's 22-ship special air show celebrating 60 years of T28 flying.  It's always a pleasure to fly with aviators who love flying the T28 as much as we do. AirVenture was as exciting and fun as is advertised, and the anniversary celebration was a once in a lifetime experience.

21 June 2009
It was a busy weekend for us as Sunday saw the Trojan Phlyers demo team flying at the second airshow in as many days, but this time it was at our home airport, Mid-Way Regional, and we were the guests of Debby Standefer and the DFW Summer Balloon Classic. This was the first ever air show at Mid-Way, and it was part of a larger event, the DFW Balloon Classic, but since winds grounded balloon flying for most of the weekend we had a appreciative audience to perform for.

We were glad to return to fly at the Denton Air Fare and Airshow this weekend, and we had a hot but beautiful day to fly. Although we had flown at Denton before, this was the first time for us to fly the three-ship formation routine. It was a pleasure to renew the acquaintance of Airshow Director Don Smith and to work with the professional airshow team from David Schultz Airshows, LLC.

16 May 2009
We were honored to be invited to participate in the 1st Annual Armed Forces Day Celebration at the NAS/JRB Fort Worth. We enjoyed the hospitality and camaraderie of the military members based there. Our compliments to the NAS Commander, Captain "T.D." Smyers, and to the Airboss Lt. Keith Morris who persevered even through weather threatened to cancel the show. Rain fell up until the scheduled start of the air show, then stopped long enough for the flying acts to perform a "low show" for the die-hard fans who braved the weather. It is our pleasure to announce that we are now sponsored in part by Aviation Laboratories of Houston, Texas. We have used their Oil Analysis Test Kits for several years to track the health of our engines, and we hardily recommend their services.

25 April 2009
It was a privilege to be invited to the 9th Annual Cowtown Warbird Roundup held at Fort Worth's Meacham International Airport. The event, organized by the OV-10 Bronco Association, was to benefit the Veterans Memorial Air Park. We appreciated the opportunity to show our aircraft to the public, and to each former T28 pilot who complimented our aircraft... thanks for the kind words.

11 April 2009
It's Spring and here in Texas that means bluebonnet time. It also means it's time for the Bluebonnet Air Show in Burnet, Texas. This weekend we were guests of Clif Walker, the Commemorative Air Force, and the good folks of Burnet. We have been fortunate enough to fly at Burnet several times, and as always their hospitality was wonderful. It was good to work again with Airboss, David Anderson, and in spite of threatening weather, we had a great crowd and a wonderful day of flying.

4/5 April 2009
We opened our air show season with our first ever visit to Keesler AFB and the 2009 "Thunder on the Bay" Air Show and Open House. Our hosts, Brigadier General Gregory Touhill, 81st Training Wing Commander, and Air Show Project Officer Mr. Justin Cooper, treated us to a wonderful reception Friday evening. Saturday saw an outstanding event attended by over 80,000 air show fans and run by the professional Airboss team from David Schultz Air Shows. Although weather impacted some portion of the flying schedule on Sunday, we appreciated the efforts of the 81st Training Wing Vice Commander, Colonel Chris Valle, and the Air Show Ops Officer, Major Kevin Green, to make our visit a memorable one. While at Keesler AFB we had the opportunity to let several veteran T28 pilots visit the flightline and see our aircraft, including the specific T28 that was assigned to Keesler AFB from 1970 to 1972.

23 March 2009
The Trojan Phlyers held our annual Spring Training event over the weekend of 20, 21, and 22 March 2009 at our home airport, Mid-Way Regional Airport. Over the weekend we flew some 29 sorties including 20 sorties by our Trojan Phlyers partners and 9 sorties by the formation demo team as part of our spin-up for the coming air show season.

One of our partners and demonstration pilots, Chip Lamb, has been profiled in the January/February issue of "The Autopilot" magazine. In a well written article by Editor, Candace Morrow, one can read a short profile into one of the professional pilots that make up the Trojan Phlyers team. Read the article at a FBO near you or visit the Texas Region "Archive" section of www.autopilotmagazine.com.

17 December 2008
We are happy to announce that we are being sponsored in part by Scheyden Precision Eyewear, a maker of high-end aviation and sports sunglasses. The Trojan Phlyers are excited to be a part of Team Scheyden, and spectators will see us wearing the distinctive lightweight, yet strong eyewear during our show tour this year.

15 December 2008
We have had an exciting 2008, and everyone at Trojan Phlyers wants to thank all the air show directors, organizers, sponsors, and the thousands of volunteers who worked to make this a successful season. Now as we look forward to a busy 2009 season, including venues from Florida to Utah, and Wisconsin to New Mexico, we hope to see you at an air show in your hometown.
