Peter Lagergren, 56, is one of the solo
aerobatic pilots for Trojan Phlyers. When not traipsing around on the TPI
airshow circuit, Peter is the Chief Technology Officer of a satellite data
communications company located in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is the
architect of numerous real time data systems used in remote monitoring.
A former Army aviator, he joined Trojan
Phlyers in 2000 and has been active in promoting the formation aerobatic
display team. Peter has over 4,000 hours of fixed and rotary wing time and
flew over 250 missions as a helicopter gunship pilot in Vietnam. He says he
likes the T-28B because it is about the same power to weight ratio as a
Cobra, except it makes infinitely more smoke and noise! He has a commercial
license with ASMEL, rotorcraft and instrument ratings. He also is an
“Authorized Instructor” in the T-28 and holds a low-level acrobatic
competency card. He also holds a formation card from the North American
Trainer Association.
When home he is the husband of Julie and the
father of Winston, a fledgling aviator. Peter is also an
active brown- and blue-water racing sailor.
