Hugh Taylor is a fourth generation pilot in a family with roots that go back
to the birth of aviation in America. He is proud to carry on a tradition
that started with his Great- Grandfather, who was instructed by Orville
Wright and who held the 22nd pilot certificate issued in the United States.
Hugh Taylor began flying gliders at the age of 14, and he currently holds
commercial and instructor ratings for gliders, airplanes, and seaplanes. He
has logged flight time in over 80 types of aircraft from Piper Cubs to the
A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Hugh holds a US Coast Guard
unlimited marinerís license and has traveled to all 7 continents and over 50
countries by sea. He is married to another professional pilot, Sylvia, who
currently flies CH-47ís for the 101st Airborne Division. She is a combat
veteran having flow combat missions overseas.
